Library Lion, Michelle Knudson
Miss Merriweather, the head librarian, is very picky about rules and regs in the library. No running allowed. And you gotta be silent. But when a lion enters the library one day, no one is sure how to react. There aren't any rules about lions in the library. Amazingly, this lion seems quite well suited to being in a library. His enormous feet are quiet on the library floor. He makes a comfy backrest for the kids at story hour. And he never roars in the library, at least not anymore. But when something awful occurs, the lion quickly romps to the rescue in the only way he understands. Knudsen's disarming story, illustrated by the great Kevin Hawkes in a wonderful timeless style, will win over even the most tough rule keepers.
